Coco Frey is the founder and principal nutritionist of Eat The Truth® a complete food and nutrition education and communication company on a mission to help people understand how to “eat with an open mind.” Founded in 2004, Eat The Truth® provides consumers the TRUTH about food specializing in speaking engagements, business to business consulting, and healthy cooking. Her unique combination of talents and tenacious entrepreneur spirit have driven her to help prevent disease with real nutrition, through real food, for real lives.
Since 1996, Coco has accumulated a wide variety of experiences in the food and nutrition industry to include: natural and organic foods sales and preparation, clinical nutrition, consulting on special diets, teaching cooking classes, working with food companies, and participating in community health events.
Her working partnerships include Health and Human Services, PepsiCo, Parkland Hospital, Breville, Sur La Table, The Food Collective, and American Diabetes Association, to just name a few. Coco also sits on the steering committee of CHEC – Community Health Educators Coalition and on the Speaker Bureau for the American Cancer Society. She is also a member of the Dallas Dietetic Association, Dallas Area Coalition to Prevent Childhood Obesity, Friends of The Farmers Market, SlowFood, and American Institute of Wine and Food.
Coco graduated with honors from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Food and Nutrition in the Business and Industry and a minor in Entrepreneurship. She has even taken her pursuit to learn more, internationally, traveling to study gastronomy in Madrid, Spain and natural living in San Ignacio, Belize. She continues to gain food and nutrition knowledge when and where she can.
Coco is dedicated to sharing her knowledge with the general public and is passionate about her plans to develop products and services related to food and nutrition education.
